“PIAF THE SHOW”
Come and experience some of Piaf's most beloved songs in an original setting with accordion, violin, double bass, piano and percussion in true Parisian spirit.
We take you on a journey in Piaf's life through her songs.
Piaf was born in the middle of the First World War in Paris in 1915 and was abandoned by his parents. Her father went to war in 1916 and left her with her grandmother to grow up in a brothel.
As a 14-year-old, she survives by singing in the streets of Paris until she is discovered by an agent who takes her under his wings and builds a career for her as a renowned singer in Paris and eventually even abroad.
The award-winning singer Cecilia Lindwall was born in Sweden, on Öland, and with classical education and several years on opera and concert stages in Germany, Norway and Denmark, she interprets Piaf's songs with some of Denmark's leading musicians, with Knud Rasmussen as conductor.
After her critically acclaimed debut in La Boheme at the Norwegian Opera in 2000 and as the winner of the international competition at the Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg in Berlin the following year, the Swedish soprano Cecilia Lindwall has worked professionally in Germany, Norway, Denmark and Sweden as a very reputable Concert and Opera Sanger - most recently i.a. at the New Theater in the performance Phantome of the Opera.
